Application Fee

The admissions application for a HUHS graduate program must be accompanied by a $75 non-refundable (except in the case of denial of admissions or cancellation within 5 calendar days of signing an enrollment agreement) application fee.

Enrollment Fee

Students will pay a one-time enrollment fee. The enrollment fees are as follows: Graduate degree program – $200 USD; Individual course – $50 USD. A student has five (5) calendar days after signing an enrollment agreement  to cancel enrollment and receive a full refund of all monies paid to the institution.

Tuition Policy

Tuition payment is due upon submission of the course enrollment agreement. Tuition must be paid in U.S. currency, by check, money order, credit card or federal aid funding (if applicable).

Tuition must be paid on an individual basis for each course you are taking. Tuition can be paid in one payment or three equal (non-interest) payments over 60 days.

Master of Science in Nutrition Degree Program  $14,800*

Thirty-seven credit hours are required for completion of a M.S. in Nutrition degree. Depending upon the amount of transfer credit and/or credit by examination approved, a student may be required to take 19 to 37 semester hours in order to graduate.

Master of Science in Integrative Nutrition Degree Program $14,800*

Thirty-seven credit hours are required for completion of a master’s degree.  Depending upon the amount of transfer credit and/or credit by examination approved, a student may be required to take 19 to 37 semester hours in order to graduate.

Doctor of Health Science in Integrative Healthcare Degree 

Clinical Nutrition Concentration $27,900*

Sixty-two credit hours are required for completion of a doctorate degree.  Depending upon the amount of transfer credits, a student may be required to take 53 to 62 semester hours in order to graduate with a Doctor of Science.

Personalized Concentration $27,450*

Sixty-one credit hours are required for completion of a doctorate degree.  Depending upon the amount of transfer credits, a student may be required to take 52 to 61 semester hours in order to graduate with a Doctor of Science.

Tuition Schedule

The per course Master rate for students enrolled in a degree program is $400 per credit hour.

  • A 3 credit course is $1,200
  • A 4 credit course is $1,600

The per course Doctorate rate for students enrolled in a degree program is $450 per credit hour.

  • A 3 credit course is $1,350
  • A 4 credit course is $1,800

Other General Service Fees

  • Graduation Fee: $50
  • Reactivation fee:  $50
  • Returned check fee:  $25
  • Extension of Time fee (12 weeks):  $50
  • Transcript fee (no cost for first transcript request):  $5
  • Credit by Examination:  $250
  • Final Exam through Remote Proctor (cost is per exam):  $15

Fees must be paid in U.S. currency, by check, money order, or credit card and are non-refundable.

Textbook Cost

The costs of textbooks are not included in the quoted tuition. Students may purchase textbooks from a vendor of their choice. For a complete list of textbooks, see Booklist. We strive to keep our Booklist as up to date as possible. Check with our office at (865) 524-8079 before ordering the materials listed to verify whether or not any changes have been made to the course.
